‘Priority to Us’: Eagles GM Reveals Major Position Upgrade

The Philadelphia Eagles registered only 29 sacks during the 2021 season, the second-worst total in the NFL. Numbers don’t tell the whole story, not with the way Josh Sweat was swarming quarterbacks late in the year.

Javon Hargrave was fantastic earlier in the season, combining with veteran Fletcher Cox and rookie Milton Williams to form one of the better defensive tackle rotations in football. Still, the Eagles are going to need a stronger pass rush to keep opposing quarterbacks at bay. The front office knows it after scouting a draft class loaded with top-tier talent.

“It’s not only the sack numbers, you know that. There are other ways to judge that,” general manager Howie Roseman told reporters on Wednesday. “But the bottom line is we didn’t get enough pressure on the quarterback. We have to have pressure on the quarterback. We have to

Addressing the media for the first time since his arrival in Brooklyn, Ben Simmons opened up about the end of his time with the 76ers, and what went wrong.

“It was just piled up,” Simmons explained. “A bunch of things [that’ve gone on] over the years, to where I just knew I wasn’t myself. And I needed to get back into that place of, you know, being myself … being happy as a person.”

“It wasn’t about the basketball, it wasn’t about the money, anything like that …” Simmons continued. “I want to be who I am. And get back to playing basketball at that level …”

When asked about what was going through his mind after his last game played with the Sixers, the three-time All-Star responded, “[That] I need to get in a good place, mentally.”

Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp is all smiles after the Rams won Super Bowl 56 over the Bengals on Sunday, February 13.

Like two out-of-state tourists taking in the Los Angeles County beach rays of Santa Monica or Malibu, time was well spent between Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford from when the sun rose on the 2021 NFL season to its sunset on Sunday, February 13.

The moment they became teammates on the Los Angeles Rams this season, they spent a lot of time working on what would become the “9 to 10” connection in the City of Angels. Too much time, as Kupp unveiled after Super Bowl 56 to reporters.

But their chemistry, and extra time well spent, eventually led to the 23-20 Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals with both men responsible for the game’s final touchdown.

In fact, the man who went from consecutive 90-catch

The Los Angeles Lakers have been very quiet at the NBA trade deadline. As you can imagine, LeBron James has some thoughts on the team’s inaction.

Speaking to the media this week, LeBron admitted that he can see the trade deadline starting to affect the team. He said that it’s like there’s a “fog” in the air for them.

“Obviously, this is something that’s weighing on this group that we’re all trying to get through. Almost feels like it’s a fog, just a fog in the air,” LeBron said.

There have been rumors that the Lakers could be eyeing reinforcements at the deadline. But nothing has materialized as of yet.

The Los Angeles Lakers have shown a willingness to move on from players. In January they traded Rajon Rondo to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But with the Lakers sitting at 26-30, ninth in
