Paul Finebaum Reveals His Pick For The Heisman Trophy

Paul Finebaum knows where his vote is going for college football’s most prestigious award.

Finebaum has had Alabama quarterback Bryce Young as his favorite for a little while now and after his performance against Georgia, that sealed it for him.

He appeared on SportsCenter on Sunday morning to explain his rationale behind this.

“It was masterful,” Finebaum said on SportsCenter. “A week before (against Auburn), he had a Heisman moment, but he didn’t have a Heisman game. This was absolutely a Rembrandt on the canvas for Bryce Young. I don’t want to upset my bosses who are going to be promoting the Heisman award next week, but it’s a non-starter. This thing is over. Bryce Young has won the Heisman Trophy.”

Young finished with 421 yards and three touchdowns against Georgia. He also did most of that work without top receiver John Metchie, who had to leave the game in the first half with a knee injury.

The week before, Young drove the Crimson Tide 99 yards for the game-tying touchdown before they ultimately survived in overtime against the Auburn Tigers.

He finished the regular season with 43 touchdown passes to just four interceptions.

He’ll have a shot to add to those numbers on Dec. 31 when Alabama takes on Cincinnatti in one of the CFP semifinals.
