UCLA basketball player Mac Etienne was assigned to finish a diversion method after obtaining a misdemeanor assault demand in link with a spitting incident at McKale Middle in February.
College of Arizona police cited Etienne with a charge of “assault-contact with intent to provoke” right after he was equally caught on online video and by a UAPD officer as spitting at the group he walked off the court following UA’s 76-66 get about UCLA at McKale Center on Feb. 3.
Etienne pleaded not guilty to the cost on March 31 in Pima County Justice Court and was assigned a case administration convention for Friday. The case management conference was later vacated when Etienne agreed to comprehensive the diversion method.
While the court calendar states Etienne has until finally Nov. 21 to entire the program, his attorney, Phoenix-based Aaron Reed, stated he faces some deadlines in July and will full the application just before basketball year.
