Arkansas basketball lands Little Rock’s Layden Blocker, a 4-star 2023 point guard

Arkansas basketball gained its to start with motivation for the 2023 class, and it didn’t go significantly to get it.

On Saturday, the Razorbacks landed 4-star point guard Layden Blocker, the No. 29 total prospect in accordance to the 247Athletics Composite.

Blocker is actively playing for Sunrise Christian in Bel Air, Kansas, and was previously at Little Rock (Arkansas) Christian Academy.

“I selected Arkansas for the reason that of the profitable tradition in basketball and the other athletics that they have,” Blocker explained to 247Sports. “Mentor (Eric Musselman) Muss turned that basketball plan all around and produced it a highly effective faculty. It is apparent how they will use me from day one in their NBA-design and style system, and his team does a fantastic position of getting ready and creating gamers to get to the NBA.”

The 6-foot-2 Blocker chose Arkansas about 20 other colleges, such as Auburn, Oklahoma and Ole Pass up.

“I think I am just going to convey my pace, my leadership, my scoring potential and my facilitating means,” he stated. “I experience like I can score in a number of approaches and I can get my teammates associated.”
