These ASU students are Instagram influencers
As evidenced by the sorority recruitment videos that have taken over social media platforms such as TikTok, college is back in session, including at Arizona State University.
Some ASU students have become recognizable figures on social media, garnering thousands of followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. A handful of them, such as TikTok star Riley Saurage, found internet fame before enrolling in the university this year.
With this clout, they can use their platforms to earn an income by partnering with brands and companies that want them to advertise their products or services. They can also earn money by using affiliate links, in which they earn a commission when their followers make purchases, and selling merchandise.
