The Amarillo Globe-News is now taking nominations for the I AM SPORT Award for the Texas Panhandle High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this summer. More details about the program are coming soon.
The I AM SPORT is brought to you by Northwest Texas Healthcare System.
The I AM SPORT Award recognizes a student-athlete who goes above and beyond in their communities through volunteerism and community service. This award is meant to honor and celebrate those student-athletes who not only put in the time on the field, but off the field as well to make their communities a better place to live.
Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email [email protected]. Nomination deadline is March 31.
The I AM SPORT finalists and winner will be recognized during the live show this summer.
The Texas Panhandle High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
