Kevin Durant dominates for 53 points as Brooklyn holds off New York.

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant put on another jaw-dropping performance Sunday afternoon, racking up a season-high 53 points in Brooklyn’s 110-107 victory over the New York Knicks. Durant scored 40 of his 53 points through the first three-quarters of action, finishing just one point shy from his regular-season career-high of 54 points.

The Nets star went 19-for-37 from the field, setting a career-high for field-goal attempts. Durant also had nine assists and six rebounds in his 60th career 40-point performance. His 53 points marks the most points by a Nets player against the Knicks in franchise history.

Curry Sets All-Time NBA 3-Point Mark in Warriors Victory

The Golden State Warriors’ point guard set an all-time NBA record on Friday night, passing Ray Allen for the most 3-point field goals made in a career.

The official SportsCenter Twitter account tweeted out the specifics of the accomplishment following the Dubs’ victory over the Eastern Conference-leading Chicago Bulls on November 12, 2021.

“Steph Curry has passed Ray Allen for the most three pointers made all-time (including playoffs),” the post said. “Curry: 3359+, Allen: 3358.”

Not only did Curry surpass Allen’s all-time made mark from deep on Friday, he did it in mind-shattering style. The Golden State captain required just 774 games to overtake Allen in career 3-pointers made, while Allen set that mark after a total of 1,300 games played across the course of his NBA career.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs remain undefeated.

Behind a 30-point, 13-rebound performance from Drew Timme, the Zags took down No. 8 Oklahoma in a hard-fought 84-70 battle in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

The Gonzaga forward credited his team’s blueprint for success in guiding them to another victory in the tournament.  

“Just a great game plan,” Timme told CBS sideline reporter Lauren Shehadi. “We just took what the defense gave us. It feels good to come out on top, especially against such a good team like Oklahoma.”

Balanced No. 7 Ohio State basketball rallies in second half for 89-85 victory over No. 8 Iowa

COLUMBUS, Ohio — E.J. Liddell, Kyle Young and Duane Washington Jr. each had 16 points as No. 7 Ohio State beat No. 8 Iowa 89-85 on Thursday night.

The Buckeyes (15-4, 9-4 Big Ten) moved into a tie for second place in the conference with Illinois, one game behind Michigan.

Ohio State trailed 61-50 with 14:29 to play, but rallied with a 17-5 run. The Buckeyes got three 3-pointers in the final four minutes from Justin Ahrens, who was scoreless until that point.

The Buckeyes held Iowa’s Luka Garza, the nation’s leading scorer at 26.5 points per game, to 16 points. Garza had five second-half points, making two of eight shots. Jack Nunge and Jordan Bohannon each scored 18 points for Iowa (13-5, 7-4). Joe Wieskamp had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
