Deebo Samuel has been making fans of the San Francisco 49ers very happy this season with his stellar play. Recently, he gave a young fan of his a special experience that he met through gaming.

On Tuesday afternoon, SportsCenter posted a video on Instagram from a fan who got a neat experience with Samuel. According to the video, Samuel and the fan met while playing NBA 2k. Samuel flew the fan out for a 49ers game and paid for everything. Here is what the fan said about the experience with Samuel.

“Went from playing 2k to actually linking with Deebo Samuel. He paid for everything so I could see him play. He even got me a field pass for the game.”

Sunday Funday Moment: Sarah Farms surprises El Paso boy featured on SportsCenter with free milk for a year

El Paso, Texas– One El Paso boy became a viral sensation after pulling a double play during a championship baseball game this past June.

“So when the batter hit the ball it bobbled but then I recovered it and got the batter out on first then when I saw the runner running to home I ran home and got him out,” said 8-year-old Jordan O’Hara.

It was back in June when his game-ending double play landed him in the number 1 spot on ESPN SportsCenter’s top 10 plays after his dad tweeted the video out.

The cameras that caught that viral video were a donation from local dairy farm, Sarah Farms. They were installed to help parent’s safely watch their children play baseball games during the pandemic.

Turning dreams into reality can be overwhelming for some, particularly those close enough to know the amount of hard work got them there. 

For the father of Robert Anthony Cruz, the emotions were running high. Cruz, the young undrafted free agent who in his Instagram post spoke of agreeing to his first professional contract with the Nationals, made sure to give the news to his father in person. 

Surprising his father with the new Nationals hat Cruz likely received after signing, the two embraced in a proud moment for the dad and quite the touching moment for the sports community to witness. 

Cruz is coming off an All-American senior season in which he boasted a .388 batting average with 45 hits, 11 home runs and 36 RBI out of Biola University in the PacWest.

The Big Ten is full of surprises at the halfway point

Believe it or not, we’re halfway through the Big Ten’s abbreviated 2020 regular season. Take a look at the standings and you’ll see plenty of surprises, but you’ll mostly see a big mess.

Let’s start with the positive surprises. Two teams are 4-0, and you never would have guessed them before the season. That’s the Indiana Hoosiers and Northwestern Wildcats. Each sit atop the Big Ten East and West division standings after wins over Michigan State and Purdue on Saturday.

Ohio State (3-0) and Wisconsin (2-0) are also undefeated. Both teams have had games canceled due to COVID-19, with Wisconsin’s own outbreak costing it two games. Ohio State, meanwhile, had its game against Maryland this weekend called off because of cases in the Terps program.
