Adam Schefter has been the subject of some controversy this week in the world of sports media, but his name appeared in the news on Wednesday night for a different reason.

According to a latest report from Front Office Sports, a major company is preparing to make a play for the NFL insider.

Michael McCarthy and A.J. Perez of FOS reported on Wednesday evening that Caesars Sportsbook has interest in making Schefter the company’s latest major talent acquisition. The NFL insider’s current deal with ESPN expires in summer of 2022, before the start of the next season, and he’s expected to receive other offers from sports gambling companies that want to continue to establish themselves in the sports media space.

During ESPN’s live NFL Draft coverage on Saturday, Adam Schefter dropped an eye-opening update on Deshaun Watson‘s future with the Houston Texans.

What a whirlwind couple of months it’s been for Watson and the Texans. It began when the young superstar demanded a trade. In past weeks, the situation has been taken to a downward spiral. A total of 22 women have filed civil lawsuits against Watson for sexual misconduct allegations.

Watson’s future both in Houston and in the NFL appears to be in limbo. Even Schefter is hearing we might not see Watson take the football field anytime soon.

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson could miss at least all of 2021 while facing allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday:

Watson is facing civil lawsuits from 22 different women filed over the past few months, the most recent of which was filed in April, per Samantha Ketterer of the Houston Chronicle. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told ESPN on Thursday that the league is monitoring the situation.
