The Dallas Cowboys are doing their due diligence on adding some competition to the quarterback room behind Dak Prescott. The Cowboys interviewed record-setting Western Kentucky quarterback Bailey Zappe during the NFL Combine.

“I met with them [Cowboys], informal meetings, but it was awesome to be able to just answer questions,” Zappe explained during his March 2 press conference. “Get to build relationships, get to meet some of those coaches, get to meet some of the scouts. It was a fun moment.”

Zappe broke the FBS records with both 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns during the 2021 season. The previous records were 5,845 yards and 61 touchdowns, per ESPN.

It is important to note that every NFL team will meet with a variety of prospects during the pre-draft process, most of which will not end up with the franchise. That

Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo, who has been out since April 8, 2021, after having surgery on his right quadriceps tendon, could return to the lineup in March.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski provided the report on SportsCenter.

“Victor Oladipo is on this road trip. He’s had two really significant quad tendon surgeries. He’s recovered from the second one now. I’m told that there’s optimism Oladipo could be back within two weeks. Perhaps the second week of March.”

Oladipo, a former Indiana star, has been in the NBA since 2013. The two-time All-Star has averaged 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists for his career.

Oladipo starred for the Indiana Pacers in 2017-18 and 2018-19 and was named an All-Star both years. Unfortunately, Oladipo suffered a quad injury in January 2019 that led to a surgery and an absence off the court until

Jerami Grant is a valuable potential acquisition for contenders ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, and the Detroit Pistons reportedly want plenty in return.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday on SportsCenter that the forward “has stirred a lot of interest around the league. He kind of fits almost anywhere. Detroit’s asking price has largely stayed at two first-round picks.”

Wojnarowski pointed to the Portland Trail Blazers as having interest in acquiring Grant, although they may not have enough assets.

Interest around the NBA is no surprise considering Grant’s skill set and the fact that he is not a rental. He is under contract through the 2022-23 campaign and could help in a couple of playoff runs.

Grant is averaging 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 40.4 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from deep. While the shooting

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly set on keeping Aaron Rodgers in 2022 and hopeful he wants to stay with the team moving forward.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler appeared Sunday on SportsCenter and updated the ongoing situation.

“I’m told the Packers brass has been adamant, both publicly and privately, that they want Aaron Rodgers back and that they’re all on the same page,” Fowler said. “GM Brian Gutekunst has expressed that to Rodgers. Head coach Matt LeFleur has expressed that to Rodgers. They’ve been out full front and in public about that, but also I’ve been told they’ve had some meetings with Rodgers, but it’s been, you know, not too intense yet.

“They’ve kind of recapped the season, maybe talk about the direction of the team, some of the pieces they like. But, nothing out of the ordinary that they wouldn’t do in a normal year. And so,
