Coach K’s farewell tour: No. 1 seed Duke survives ACC Tournament quarterfinal test from Syracuse

Duke nearly went one-and-done at the ACC Tournament on Thursday in its final appearance in the event under coach Mike Krzyzewski. In the end, though, the No. 1 seed Blue Devils used a late surge to beat No. 9 seed Syracuse 88-79 and advance to Friday’s semifinals. They will play the winner of Thursday afternoon’s game between No. 4 seed Miami and No. 13 seed Boston College.

Syracuse showed once again that Duke has some issues to shore up defensively before the NCAA Tournament begins next week. After allowing 94 points against North Carolina in a home loss to end the regular season, the Blue Devils allowed Syracuse forward Jimmy Boeheim to go off for 28 points on Thursday.
