The Lions introduced Dan Campbell as their new head coach Thursday.

Longwood’s Tra’Dayja Smith comes in at No. 5 on ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 : Augusta Free Press

Longwood women’s basketball got a turn in the national spotlight Wednesday morning courtesy of senior Tra’Dayja Smith’s appearance on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays on ESPN.

Smith became the latest Lancer featured on ESPN’s daily countdown of the top 10 plays in all of sports, earning the No. 5 spot for her self-assisted inbounds scoring play in the fourth quarter of the Lancers’ 54-52 win over USC Upstate Tuesday night.

The highlight saw the Lancer point guard showing off her veteran savvy in crunchtime, bouncing an inbounds pass from the baseline off a USC Upstate defender, collecting it and taking it to the basket for a go-ahead layup.
