Nuggets announce Jamal Murray has torn ACL in left knee, will be out indefinitely [Video]
The Jamal Murray injury is as bad as everyone feared. The Denver Nuggets announced on Tuesday that Murray has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, and will be out indefinitely.
Murray hurt his knee in the Nuggets’ 116-107 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, going down with what looked to be a non-contact injury.
Murray, 24, is in his fifth season in the NBA, and in the first year of a five-year, $158 million deal. He’s averaging 21.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.0 rebounds while shooting a career-high 48% from the field this season.
Murray has struggled with with injuries this season. He’d just returned from a four-game absence on Monday, which was due to right knee soreness. Facundo Campazzo started in Murray’s place during those four games, and while he was shifted to the bench when Murray started on Monday, he’s likely to shift
