The early returns in the trade for James Harden have been great so far for the Philadelphia 76ers. The team is 2-0 with Harden in the lineup and the offense so far has been on fire.

In the first two games with Harden, the Sixers have been averaging a whopping 129 points per game while shooting 50% from the field. The team has also shot 80 free throws in the last two games.

The chemistry between superstars Harden and Joel Embiid has also been instant. Embiid has averaged 35.5 points and 9.5 rebounds with Harden so far. The Sixers also shot 27 free throws in the team’s win over the Knicks.

James Harden debuts with the 76ers.

James Harden didn’t disappoint in his debut with the Philadelphia 76ers, leading the team to a statement win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

Despite not having much time to get used to his new teammates, Harden finished his 76ers debut with 27 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.

In his postgame press conference, Harden made it known that he’s awfully happy to be a member of the 76ers.

“[I’m] extremely happy,” Harden told reporters postgame. “Extremely happy.”

Harden received some criticism for the way he handled his time with the Brooklyn Nets. That being said, he silenced all his critics with the way he played in his debut.

Of course, the NBA world was impressed by Harden’s performance against the Timberwolves. He looked rejuvenated and motivated on the court.

Early in his Philadelphia 76ers’ debut, The Beard dribbled down the baseline and pulled out a beautiful cross-over en route to an easy and-one opportunity. He swished the free throw to put the Sixers up 10-6 with 8:43 showing in the first quarter.

Harden was sensational in his first game, showcasing his patented step-back three on multiple occasions while wowing with several no-look Houdini passes. He fired a strike down the court to a streaking Tyrese Maxey for a speedy lay-in. He played solid defense. He fought for rebounds. He was everything as advertised and more. Harden finished with 27 points, 12 assists, eight rebounds.
