MLB World Reacts To Yankees’ Crushing Loss On Sunday

The New York Yankees put their fans through the ringer this weekend. What looked like a historic win for the franchise turned into an absolutely crushing loss to their hated rival, the Boston Red Sox.

In the final game of a four-game series at Fenway Park, Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German looked absolutely incredible to start. Through seven innings, he allowed just two base runners, one on a walk in the third, and another reached safely on a passed ball after striking out in the seventh.

German was in striking distance of the second no-hitter of the year for the franchise, and the first Yankees no-hitter against the Red Sox since Dave Righetti in 1983. New York finds itself well back of Boston in the AL East race this year, but a win like that seemed like a possible turning point for the team
