Houston coach Kelvin Sampson apologized to Alabama for kicked chair, trash can after loss [Video]

Houston coach Kelvin Sampson apologized on Sunday night after an assistant coach and a player kicked chairs and a trash can over on their way off the court following the Cougars’ 83-82 loss to No. 9 Alabama.

No. 13 Houston lost to the Crimson Tide on Saturday night after missing a 3-pointer and multiple tip-ins in the final seconds. As time expired, Alabama guard JD Davison blocked a ball near the rim to seal the win — something Sampson and others thought should’ve been called goaltending.

Randle was not happy about this. Even after the game ended, he gave a slight shove to Nets forward Jeff Green with his shoulder. Teammate Obi Toppin needed to hold him back from going after official Scott Foster, and he proceeded to toss a chair on his way down the tunnel after exiting the floor.

The NBA will release the Last Two Minute Report from this game on
