Watch Coppell’s Naz Brown hit a full-court buzzer-beater to beat Denton Guyer

Coppell’s Naz Brown had the No. 1 play on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Tuesday night after making a full-court buzzer-beater to beat Denton Guyer 66-63.

Guyer had a chance to win it, but a layup came up short, and Brown grabbed the ball, took one dribble and then heaved it the length of the court. He swished the shot and was mobbed by his teammates.

“Total shock. He was 80 feet from the basket, and the clock was running off, and he just threw one up and it went in. It was kind of a one in a million shot,” Coppell coach Clint Schnell said. “I made a comment to him in the locker room. I said, ‘I bet you couldn’t go out there and do that again if you stayed up here all week.’ “

Brown tore his ACL last March and had surgery the first week of April. He

For the second straight year, the Los Angeles Clippers knocked Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks out of the Western Conference playoffs in the first round.

And for the second straight season, it took one hell of an effort to put the Mavs down.

Led by Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers beat the Mavs 126-111 in Game 7, spoiling another Doncic classic (46 points).

The Clippers never quite found an answer for Doncic in the series. Luckily for them, the rest of the Mavericks couldn’t play up to his level.

This was a bizarre series, with the road team winning the first six games before the Clippers finally held serve at home in Game 7. While they advance to the second round, the Mavericks will head into the offseason

OKLAHOMA CITY – Exhausted and with tears in her eyes, Odicci Alexander paused to take a moment and recover.

The James Madison pitcher had just made an incredible diving tag at home plate against Oklahoma State on Friday night and her Dukes were just one out away from becoming the first unseeded team in NCAA softball history to reach the semifinals of the Women’s College World Series.

OSU’s squeeze play with one out with one out and runners on second and third was thwarted when Alexander fielded a bunt and extended her body toward home plate, tagging out a sliding Scotland David. The JMU ace got a popup for the final out a batter later to seal a 2-1 win.

“If that’s not Top 10 SportsCenter, I don’t know what is,” JMU head coach Loren LaPorte said, “because that’s probably the best play I’ve ever seen in my career by
