Mauldin High basketball stuns Dorman makes ESPN ‘SportsCenter Top 10’
Mauldin boys basketball got to relive last night for just a little bit longer on Tuesday morning.
“SportsCenter,” the popular ESPN programming and sports highlights show, ran The Greenville News‘ video clip of Mauldin senior Caleb Byrd’s walk-off 3-point shot to beat Dorman, 69-68, early Tuesday morning as one of the shows Top 10 plays from Monday.

In the video above, from the YouTube page, Living in the Past, Byrd’s shot came in at No. 5 on the “ESPN SportsCenter Top 10” plays for the day.
“I can’t believe this is No. 5,” one of the hosts of the show says in the video, “but we’re giving Caleb Byrd his due.”
Byrd’s shot sent Mauldin to the Class AAAAA Upper State Championship game on Saturday at Bob Jones University in Greenville. Mauldin will play Ridge View in the state semifinals game at 7 p.m.
The shot also ran as a part of “SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt” late Monday night.
