United told to sell Sancho
Manchester United have been told to cut their losses with Jadon Sancho as the winger “isn’t quick enough”.
The former Borussia Dortmund ace arrived at Old Trafford last summer in a £70million deal but has struggled to make an impact at the club. And according to former England international Trevor Sinclair, Sancho is struggling as he can’t “beat a player” as he’s “not quick enough”.
And the former Manchester City forward has told United chiefs they need to get their recruitment right if the next permanent boss at Old Trafford is to be successful.
Three players targeted
Erik ten Hag will reportedly target three stars from Premier League rivals once he begins his Manchester United rebuilding.
The Dutchman is set to arrive at Old Trafford this summer, with reports suggesting he will be handed a ‘transfer war chest’ to reshape the United playing squad. Ten Hag wants to add a striker and two ready-made midfielders accustomed to pressing when he arrives at the club at the end of the season.
And he is reportedly set to use the funds given to him to target Harry Kane, Declan Rice and John McGinn from Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Aston Villa.
How United could line up under Ten Hag
United’s starting XI could look very different under Erik ten Hag next season.
As well as the three players named above, speculation that Ten Hag is set to be appointed United manager has led to a number of names being linked with the club. Several players could follow the Dutchman from Ajax, with Jurrien Timber, Noussair Mazraoui and Antony reportedly of interest to United.
While a new striker and a number of other squad changes are also expected to drastically change United’s first-choice line-up.
