Jarome Luai apologises for embarrassing best mans speech at teammate Brian To’os wedding
Penrith winger Brian To’o married his partner Moesha in a traditional Samoan wedding ceremony on Thursday.
Many of his teammates were in attendance with Stephen Crichton and Sunia Turuva serving as two of his groomsmen and Jarome Luai bestowed the honour of To’o’s best man.
To’o was one of several high-profile players who opted to represent Samoa at this year’s Rugby League World Cup. He was joined by Luai who divulged the pair’s time in England during his best man’s speech.

“Got the privilege to spend seven weeks in England rooming with my boy,” he said.
“And if youse don’t know Brian To’o, this man has the stinkiest a–e I’ve ever been around. Stinkiest, and he’s proud of it.
“My uso (Samoan brother) loves himself. If his phone gallery gets leaked one day, that’ll be the proof.
“As I said, seven weeks in England. Walked into the room, (and) basically all I saw was my uso taking selfies, my uso Face Timing another girl he met in England — I mean Moesha, Face Timing Moesha.
“Sometimes I walk in I hear things in the toilet.”
As To’o started to glare at Luai, the playmaker began to backtrack.
“Chill, chill, chill,” Luai said.
“Nah, I was joking.
“I’m about to get a hiding.”
In a post to his Instagram story on Friday, Luai apologised for his “disrespectful” speech.
“Just wanna apologise for the words I spoke last night at my brother’s wedding and how ashamed I am for embarrassing both families and my own,” he wrote.
“The excitement of the occasion definitely got the better of me and I took it too far.
“Not much I can do about it now but be a man about this mistake and learn from it.
“Apologies to everyone I’ve disrespected. This is something I will always regret.
“Love you guys (To’o and his wife).”
The newlyweds live-streamed their ceremony on YouTube before Moesha went live on her Instagram, filming the wedding party driving between venues in golf carts.
A TikTok video also showed the pair’s crazy dance moves as they entered their reception.
To’o famously proposed to Moesha after winning his first NRL premiership with Penrith in 2021.
The 24-year-old signed a four-year contract extension with the Panthers on Friday.
The new deal ties him to the club until the end of 2024.
