We’ve entered the second week of July and the situation between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers remains the same as it was several months ago: A complete standoff.

But a new report suggests that the Packers aren’t exactly confident that things will work out in their favor. Appearing on SportsCenter, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported that some members of the Packers organization are “torn” over the standoff with Rodgers.

Per the report via Bleacher Report, while some members of the organization remain “hopeful” that Rodgers will join the team for camp, others are “not so sure” about it. Some believe that Rodgers will, in fact, wait until he gets what he wants before coming back.

As for Rodgers himself, he’s keeping his lips zipped. The biggest nugget he’s given anyone this whole offseason was telling interviewers “We’ll see” while taking a break at The Match this past Tuesday.

Aaron Rodgers is coming off one of his best seasons ever – and that’s saying something. He threw for 4,299 yards and 48 touchdowns while completing a career-high 70.7-percent of his passes.

For his efforts, Rodgers made his ninth Pro Bowl and won his third NFL MVP award. But despite leading the Packers to the best record in the NFC, they were eliminated in the NFC Championship Game.

After the game, Rodgers openly questioned his future with the Packers. That prompted the six months of endless rumors and speculation we’ve endured since.

Who will bend first: Aaron Rodgers or the Packers?
