Former UConn star Tina Charles, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury part ways

Previous UConn women’s basketball fantastic Tina Charles has agreed to a contract divorce with the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, as announced by the group Saturday afternoon.

The separation is effective straight away.

“After discussions with Tina and her agent, it was very best for each events to go our individual methods at this time,” Mercury basic supervisor Jim Pitman said in the release. “Due to instances both equally in and out of our control, our year has not absent in accordance to our system, and we will continue to pursue all avenues for advancement.”
