Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather‘s entourage brawled at a press conference on Thursday ahead of the former pro boxer’s June 6 exhibition involving the YouTube star’s brother, Logan Paul.

Video shows Jake Paul taking Mayweather’s hat and shouting “Got your hat!” during the confrontation before running away. Mayweather’s team can then be seen swarming after Paul.

Paul was later seen holding his face near his eye while fleeing the area.

Paul, who is unbeaten after three novice bouts, added post-brawl footage to his Instagram Story and appeared to have a black eye.

He also tweeted: “Honestly, have had three easy fights as a pro so been itching for some real action. One of Floyd’s 30 bodyguards got a clean shot on me in the eye.”

Mayweather retired from boxing in 2017 with an unblemished record of 50 wins from 50 fights.

He returned to the ring in the following year for an exhibition bout in Tokyo against a fast-rising Japanese kickboxer called Tenshin Nasukawa, and knocked the youngster down three times in the first and only round.

The unofficial contest seemed to spark a new boon for showbiz boxing – a sideshow to pro boxing, which other icons of the sport like Mike Tyson, together with the Paul brothers, have benefitted from.

The coming together of Mayweather and Logan Paul is the next event in this ongoing series of lucrative, crossover exhibitions.

Taking place on June 6, the event will be broadcast on Showtime pay-per-view from the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The headlining bout will have the support of legitimate contests on the undercard, as a number of teenage talents from Mayweather Promotions compete in separate fights.

Jarrett Hurd also fights Luis Arias in a 10-round bout, and former boxing champions Jean Pascal and Badou Jack take part in a rematch after bludgeoning one another in 2019.
