ESPN SportsCenter’s co-host Sage Steele is selling her stately Avon, CT, home for $1,595,000. The sports journalist purchased the property in the Hartford suburb in 2017 for $1.24 million.

Steele also has a new role at SportsCenter, moving to the show’s 12 noon slot, from the 6 p.m. slot she had had since 2018. Along with the new gig, she’ll apparently also be moving to a new home.

The Indiana University grad has posted photos from her stylish abode, showing off her unabashed school pride on Instagram.

The adjacent family room features coffered ceilings, as well as a gas fireplace, and leads to the screened-in porch, which opens to the outdoor patios for easy entertaining.

The first-floor master suite offers a gas fireplace, separate dual bathrooms, and custom walk-in closets. Four more bedrooms can be found upstairs, all with newly updated en suite bathrooms. And three cozy loft areas offer bonus spaces for reading or study nooks.

A finished walkout lower level provides a guest suite with bedroom and bathroom. Other perks include a home theater, billiard-room, workout space, and a flex space that could be converted to a home office.

The square footage includes storage and closets throughout, as well as a generator, heated three-car garage, security system, and new landscaping on 2 acres.

Steele joined ESPN and made her debut as a SportsCenter anchor in March 2007. She hosted NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC for four seasons, ending in 2017. She rejoined the SportsCenter hosting desk in 2018.

ESPN announced the change to its lineup at the beginning of the year, moving Steele to the 12 noon slot of SportsCenter, to co-host with Matt Barrie. She will also be adding periodic interviews with sports figures and celebrities that will air on ESPN+.

Penny Woodford with Coldwell Banker Realty holds the listing.
