Dodgers Fan Likes A Potential Free Agent Match
The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a relatively quiet offseason up to this point, with their most notable move being the signing of pitcher Noah Syndergaard to a one-year, $13 million contract.
Several key players from the Dodgers 2022 team are free agents, including Justin Turner.
The team has already lost Cody Bellinger, Trea Turner, and Tyler Anderson.
But in terms of offense, there could be a potential fit.
Designated hitter J.D. Martinez is one of the big bats out on the free agent market.
The 35-year-old hit for a .274 average during the regular season while also hitting 16 home runs.
The slugger could be a fit in Los Angeles.
One fan discussed the rumors on Twitter and stated that he would enjoy seeing Martinez in the Dodgers lineup.
I really don’t know where J.D. Martinez would fit with this team and don’t know about a full time DH if we bring back Justin Turner, but man would he be a great addition to the lineup. pic.twitter.com/zexix35SfL

Martinez’s Resume
The veteran slugger was a key member of the Boston Red Sox’s 2018 World Series team.
The Sox had signed the veteran to a four-year deal prior to that season.
In addition to his World Series ring, Martinez has earned three Silver Slugger Awards and is a five-time All-Star.
Martinez has spent most of his career in Boston.
The slugger came up with the Houston Astros in 2011, then spent the next four seasons with the Detroit Tigers before being traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline in 2017.
If he were to sign in Los Angeles, the 35-year-old could slot into the DH spot and share a lineup with Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Will Smith, Chris Taylor, and his former Red Sox teammate in Mookie Betts.
