Deshaun Watson’s Agent Has Telling Comment About QB’s NFL Future
Deshaun Watson has yet to suit up for the Houston Texans this season. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback finds himself in the midst of a litany of lawsuits involving indecent behavior with massage therapists.
On Saturday, Watson’s agent David Mulugheta expressed confidence in how the NFL star’s legal situation will play out.
“We’re pretty confident how this thing plays out,” Mulugheta said. “I think people around the NFL know who Deshaun is. That’s the reason the market was still as hot as it was. He’s still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He’ll continue to have an all-pro career moving forward.”
Interest around Watson seemed to peak around the NFL’s trade deadline. However, he’s yet to find a new home despite strong interest from the Dolphins and Panthers.
Pro Football Talk‘s Mike Florio reported that 18 of 22 plaintiffs were ready to settle their cases against Watson back in October. But the four holdouts reportedly kept Watson from being a Miami Dolphin.
Watson was never placed on the NFL’s Commissioner’s Exempt List. The Texans aren’t playing him at the franchise’s own volition.
There is still no end in sight when it come’s to Deshaun Watson’s legal battles. The QB is facing some very serious allegations. Perhaps more clarity will come next offseason.
