Deebo Samuel has been making fans of the San Francisco 49ers very happy this season with his stellar play. Recently, he gave a young fan of his a special experience that he met through gaming.

On Tuesday afternoon, SportsCenter posted a video on Instagram from a fan who got a neat experience with Samuel. According to the video, Samuel and the fan met while playing NBA 2k. Samuel flew the fan out for a 49ers game and paid for everything. Here is what the fan said about the experience with Samuel.

“Went from playing 2k to actually linking with Deebo Samuel. He paid for everything so I could see him play. He even got me a field pass for the game.”

In the video, Samuel can be seen with the fan in the hotel, and he comes up to the fan while he is on the field and takes a picture with him.



These two have gotten pretty close since they met through video games. The fan posted a video on his TikTok account of the two texting about playing video games and then shows the two playing NBA 2k.

Samuel is having a breakthrough season for the 49ers. He has tallied 83 receptions for 1,487 yards and six touchdowns. He’s also playing a good bit of running back for the 49ers. Samuel has 79 carries for 476 yards and nine touchdowns.

In the 49ers’ win against the Packers on Saturday, Samuel had another strong game. He recorded three receptions for 44 yards. Samuel carried the ball 10 times for 39 yards. On Samuel’s last carry which helped set up the game-winning field goal, he was seen limping off the field after the play.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Samuel took a helmet to his knee, but that he is expected to practice this week. The 49ers will play the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
