MINNEAPOLIS — An initiative is doing work to make guaranteed the sport of tennis is obtainable to young ones and grown ups.
USTA Northern partnered with the Camdentown Tennis Club in north Minneapolis to add a locker total of tools to the courts at Webber Park.
Mya Dennis began the Court docket Cubby soon after accomplishing some research about obstacles to the recreation of tennis.
“Really any individual that would like to can open it up, grab a racket, try it out. If they like the racket, they can continue to keep it, we’re open to that. We just really want to get rackets in palms and have individuals taking part in,” said Dennis.
Modeled after the Small Free Library, there are rackets and balls within, and the locker at Webber Park is saved open. It was included to the courts in partnership with the Camdentown Tennis Club.

Trinity Shoemaker, 9, attempted out one particular of the rackets. Her mother thinks it’s going to make a variation.
