Boys basketball: Haddonfield’s Daire Roddy makes ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 Plays
New Jersey high school basketball was on display on ESPN on Sunday morning.
Haddonfield’s Daire Roddy was featured at No. 4 on SportsCenter’s Top Ten Plays. Roddy lifted the Bulldawgs to a 41-40 victory over Overbrook on Saturday. The sophomore stole the in-bounds pass at midcourt, landed, and chucked up a 40-foot game-winning 3-pointer.
The bucket sent the home crowd into a frenzy. Roddy was mobbled and piled on by his teammates.
Haddonfield improved to 11-2 with the win, and the Bulldawgs have won six games in a row.
“Haddonfield down by two, Daire Roddy the steal, the heave at the buzzer!” the ESPN anchor said describing the play. “Does it get any better than that? Forty-one to 40 win. That was phenomenal.”
