2 Minute Drill: Bills ace being gracious winners
is SportsCenter 52 minute drill. There is such a thing as being a sore winner. How one handle success could be just a revealing is how they handle failure. Buffalo Bills fans have had a ah lot of failure in the 27 years they went between F C title game appearances. That includes an 18 year playoff drought. But they’re a sing handling success in being generous winners. The good times are rolling now for the Bills, and so are the good deeds from their long suffering, fervent fans. They’ve taken to donating to the charity of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson was knocked out of the Bills playoff win over the Ravens on Saturday with a concussion. Buffalo’s Hardy fans, known as the Bills Mafia, found out that Jackson endorsed the charity blessings in a backpack. It’s a child hunger organization based in Louisville. Jackson attended the University of Louisville, winning the Heisman Trophy there. So now bills fans have parted with their dollar bills, donating more than $240,000 to his charity. As their fortunes have changed, their changing the fortunes of elementary school kids were food insecure. It’s an amazing display of charity that shows there’s more to life than football games. This isn’t the first time Bills fans have rallied behind in opposing Cubes costs. In 2017, the Bills made the playoffs for the first time since 1999 after the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Ravens, ironically enough, in the final regular season game Bills Mafia thanks, since he’s Andy Dalton by pouring more than $400,000 into his foundation, they support their own to donating more than a million dollars to a local Children’s hospital and the name of their quarterback, Josh Allen, and his grandmother. There’s now a wing in the hospital named for all that losing could have made Buffalo fans bitter all those years is a doormat. Could have hardened their hearts to the plight of others and said they’re showing their gratitude for their newfound good fortune by trying to improve the fortunes of others. That’s a bigger victory than anything the Bills could do this season. Even winning the Super Bowl. The Bills are stamped as a franchise that lost four straight Super Bowls in the 19 nineties. But you can’t label them losers, not with fans who celebrate winning with such great philanthropy. That’s the two minute drill
