On Thursday morning we witnessed a surprise reunion between the Carolina Panthers and former league MVP Cam Newton.

The veteran unceremoniously exited in 2019 and after a year away with the New England Patriots, he will now play the role of Superman to try and save this team’s playoff hopes.

Attorney rips ESPN’s initial coverage of Dalvin Cook allegations as ‘journalistic malpractice’

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has been accused of battery and assault in a lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend, Gracelyn Trimble.

And Trimble’s lawyer is not happy with the way ESPN – specifically NFL insider Adam Schefter – initially reported the story.

In a statement released Wednesday morning, attorney Daniel Cragg said the network committed “journalistic malpractice” by focusing on Cook’s side of the story in its initial reporting about the matter. He also called on ESPN’s parent company, Disney, to conduct an investigation into “the editorial decisions that lead to this rush to blame the powerless victim of domestic abuse.”
