Several months back it was reported that Scott Van Pelt and the midnight-edition of ESPN’s SportsCenter would be making a big move soon.

After several months continuing to host the show in ESPN’s Bristol headquarters, he’s officially on the move. On last night’s edition of SportsCenter, Van Pelt announced that he is moving his show to Washington, DC near his native Maryland.

Van Pelt praised Bristol as the place where he met his wife, raised his kids and formed meaningful relationships in the sports industry. He finished by announcing that his Washington DC show will debut in August.

“You stay somewhere for a third of your life and the process of extricating yourself from that place reveals the roots are a whole lot deeper than you might have imagined,” he said. “Saying so long has been a lot sadder than I

Despite asterisk, that’s ‘my greatest chip shot’

DUBLIN, Ohio – It was a highlight moment, and Jon Rahm knew it.

“Dun-un-nun,” Rahm said as he walked off the 16th green Sunday, knowing his chip-in birdie at the Memorial was about to be a top play on the evening SportsCenter.

Per Rule 9.4, that’s a two-shot penalty, turning his improbable birdie into a bogey – and also turning what looked like a four-shot lead into a two-shot cushion.

Rahm didn’t learn of his rules breach until after the round. PGA Tour rules official Slugger White said they didn’t notify Rahm of the potential infraction while he was on the course because they didn’t learn of it until the final group was on the 18th tee. By

Calais Campbell brings home the highest Madden rating on Ravens

Little by little Madden NFL 21 rankings have been leaked as the franchise gears up for a release on August 25. Friday night, Madden released the complete rankings and boy are there some interesting overalls out there.

A few notables were released prior to Friday, like the cover athlete quarterback Lamar Jackson receiving a 94 overall. He was the third-rated QB behind league MVP Patrick Mahomes (99) and Seattle Seahawks Russel Wilson (97), however, that wasn’t enough to make him the highest-rated player on the Ravens squad.

“I wish it was better,” Jackson said on SportsCenter. “But hey, it’s better than it was last year. I guess we can roll with it till the season starts.”

Running back Mark Ingram ripped EA when his rating was revealed earlier this week — he wasn’t happy with his 87 overall.

“EA you sleeping on me,” he said in a hilarious video
